Calvert Math (Pk-5)

Description

Calvert Math provides a colorful, secular approach to math. Starting with teacher-student interaction in kindergarten, the courses progress towards the student working independently with all instruction written directly into the student worktexts. Pacing and coverage are traditional, while the methodology tends to be spiral. All materials have an engaging and appealing appearance. Preschool has one student workbook and resource book. Kindergarten has two student workbooks with oral tests given quarterly. Starting in Grades 1-5, a full-color, consumable, set of 10 worktexts contain 3-5 sections to complete. Each of the worktexts will take 3-4 weeks to finish, giving a total of 160-180 daily lessons that will take around 45 minutes each. Teacher Editions provide teacher helps, grading info, record-keeping sheets, alternate unit tests, daily lesson plans (only in K-1, w/reduced student pages), materials lists, optional learning activities, reproducible worksheets and alternate tests, and answer keys. Worktexts provide both textual material and written response space. Complete Sets include both Worktexts and Teacher Editions.
