Heritage Studies 3: World Regions introduces students to the cultures of the world with an active, visually engaging study of the major world regions of Europe, Asia, Oceania, North America, Caribbean, Central America, and South America. In studying new cultures, students will explore the governments, geography, climates, economics, cultures, and religions of each region. Special features highlighting folktale, foreign languages, and missionary stories bring other cultures and locations to life. This course will teach students to appreciate other cultures, interpret the world using a biblical framework, and practice responsible citizenship. There are 90 lessons for a full semester of learning in this curriculum.
This 4th edition is a complete rewrite of the Heritage Studies 3rd Edition. It focuses on social studies instead of United States history. The National Curriculum Standards for Social Studies now includes more specific requirements for social studies courses in the elementary grades. This edition reflects the most updated standards for third grade. The 4th edition text is not compatible with the previous edition. ~Amber
