Description

Grade 3 components include the consumable student textbook, teacher guide, and the combined homeschool curriculum lesson plans for science and health. The colorfully illustrated textbook includes student readings, comprehension checks and application questions. Homeschool curriculum lesson plans include the expanded daily lessons for science and health. Lessons include objectives, materials and visual aids needed, and lesson instruction. Enrichment activities, a teaching overview and progress reports are also included. You will also find a bonus schedule for art (Art Projects 3) and music (Songs We Enjoy 3), for families wishing to include these subjects (books sold separately). The spiral bound teacher edition includes the student reader with oral reading and discussion suggestions, comprehension questions (with answers) and answers for the comprehension checks and application questions. Optional enrichment/hands-on activities are provided in the back of the TE. Also available is the text answer key with answers to the text questions.

Additional resources include the quiz, tests and worksheet book; the separate quiz, test and worksheet answer key, and the homeschool science and health teaching charts. Consumable and not reproducible, the quiz, tests and worksheet book includes a variety of worksheet activities to reinforce and assess an understanding of the lessons. Quizzes, tests, and worksheets are scheduled in the lesson plans. Answers are not included. The separate quiz, test and worksheet answer key includes the answers to these pages.

Colorfully illustrated, the optional but highly recommended cardstock homeschool science and health teaching charts measure 8 ½"x 11". The scientific method, animal characteristics, the solar system, body systems, nutrition, place setting, and much more are part of the 36 teaching charts. It also includes numerous perforated cutouts for learning activities.

Also available are the Grade 3 Science and Health Child Kit and the Science and Health Parent Kit for grade 3. (See science for the description of the companion science course) The child kit includes the Exploring God's World Student Text, Quiz/Test and Worksheet Book, My Animal Notebook, and the Health, Safety and Manners 3 Student Book, and the Health, Safety and Manners 3 Quiz, Test and Worksheet Book. The parent kit includes the Homeschool Science and Health 3 Curriculum Lesson Plans, Exploring God's World Answer Key, Exploring God's World Quiz/Test and Worksheet Key, the Health, Safety and Manners 3 Answer Key and Health, Safety, and Manners Quiz/Test/Worksheet Key, and the Homeschool Science and Health Teaching Charts. The teacher guide is sold separately for those in a co-op or classroom setting.
