Two-year-olds will learn to recognize letters, numbers, colors and shapes, count 1-25, and understand the concept of numbers 1-10. Skills development involves fine arts skills such as art, music, poetry, finger plays, and story time. A different activity is done each day of the week.
The Preschool Lesson Plans gives a suggested daily schedule for both 2- and 3-year-olds and ideas to make learning fun for forty weeks. Two-year-olds will need 20 minutes per day. If you add Bible, there will be an additional 15 minutes. The suggested schedule is:
- Skills Development – Daily for 10 minutes
- Language Development – three times a week M/W/F for 10 minutes
- Numbers – two times a week T/Th 10 minutes
- Bible is about 15 minutes a day.
