Description
This set provides a very solid and thorough Algebra II course. The author includes many examples and practice problems for students to understand and master concepts. The Set comes with the student textbook, test packet, and solutions guide to the even problems. The Textbook includes 22 chapters, beginning with a review of equations and inequalities and ending with an introduction to trigonometry. Each part of a chapter covers a single concept with the end of each chapter including cumulative review. Even though the book is hardcover, the textbook provides enough space for students to write directly in the book to complete their work. Answers to odd numbered problems are included in the appendix. The Test Packet contains a test for each chapter and complete solutions for every problem. Each test includes 20 questions, and the pages are loose with ample room to work out the answers. The spiral-bound Solutions Guide provides worked out solutions for even problems only.

This program takes a discovery approach to learning, allowing students to make their own connections. The content is straightforward with direct, easy to understand explanations. The author focuses on one skill at a time in progression from simple to complex. Instruction is written to the student with plenty of examples. There is also plenty of space for students to write directly in the book. However, because the student text is a nice hardback book, you may wish to copy the pages or work on a separate sheet of paper. Mixed review is at the end of each chapter. The program components include a student text, solutions guide to even problems, and a test packet. Odd numbered answers are in the back of the student text.
