The title tells it all! Evan Moor has come out with a series of books for varied ages to help teach social emotional learning. There is an emphasis on mindfulness, self-care topics, positive vs. negative behavior, bullying, as well as how we treat others, our pets, and our world. Diversity and cultural differences like festivals, food, languages, and flags are covered in different ways depending on the age range of the book. In the book for 4–5-year-olds, there is a page teaching about movement referencing yoga but there are no explicit religious references or mantras. Meditation and mindfulness activities are taught minimally. The pages in the books are perforated for ease of use. Colorful graphics and activities are on every page. There are many cut and paste activities, a few activities using easy to obtain materials such as a sock or yarn, coloring, multiple choice, cut-out card games and more. Each of the books has a full page of stickers included too! The pages, however, may NOT be copied without publisher permission as stated in each book. ~Judy
