This tubular xylophone set features 8 metal tubes on a cedar frame, each tube resembling a different note. The music book includes 10 different songs to play. Notes are played by tapping the tube that matches the dot color on the music sheet. Start with the first dot and then play across to the end of the row; then do the same on the next row. Colors that appear more than once are differentiated by a black ring around the colorful dot. Upper octave note-dots have the ring, while lower octave dots have no rings. ~ Brianna
Publisher's Description of 8 Note Tubular Xylophone
Young children can make beautiful-sounding music! European Expressions’ tubular xylophone features metal sound tubes that ring loud and clear—the pleasant sound hangs in the air long after being played. 8 note xylophone covers one octave. Doesn’t have flat or dull tones like inexpensive xylophones using flat metal bars. Rings out like a wind chime. Top Quality. Sustainably-sourced materials. 100% handmade. No excess packaging.
Colored dots in the song booklet match the sound tube’s color. Playing is easy, just match the colors of a song with the same-colored tube. (Notes have also been spaced to help children apply the proper timing.) Comes tuned. Sound tubes are suspended by attractively colored cords which enhance the ringing quality. Red cedar frame. Includes a booklet of familiar children’s songs, two wooden strikers, and a reusable case.
Each of these Tubular Xylophone sets feature a number of color-coded, metal tubes secured to a red cedar frame. When played, they give off a sound very similar to chimes. The user can follow along in the included music books or freestyle for musical creativity. Each set includes two wooden playing sticks and a booklet of 10-14 songs. The songs can be played by reading the colored dots in order row-by-row. Each music note is portrayed by a colored dot which is the same color as the tube to be played. ~ Brianna
