Description

This book is exceptionally pretty! The larger format and hardcover are lovely, with bits of sparkly copper print. Ok, now that we have established that this publication looks pretty, let’s look at the stories. These are versions for readers aged 9+ to get a sense of the dramatic work of one Charles Dickens. The many illustrations are quite unique, yet properly suited to the often-grim settings and personalities. I love the idea of introducing younger readers to Dickens in a way that is not too scary. In the back is a page about the author, a helpful timeline, as well as a glossary to help with the more specific vocabulary. ~Sara
