Are you looking for something fun and light to work on with a beginner to learn letters and sounds? These cards are large at about 6" x 8.5" and made of heavy cardstock. They are bright and cheery with charming illustrations. Since I am not a fan of traditional flashcards, let me tell you how these are better than average. The size is just fun and they are visually appealing with bright white backgrounds. Some have a sentence you can act out, such as Pounce like a rowdy, roaring tiger. And Snort and snuffle like a playful, pink pig. You see 3 letters at the bottom and the word __ig. It is a conversational way to talk about the sounds P and T. Other cards show numbers and colors. Some show a great big letter with arrows to trace with your finger. They are just darling and a good item to be handled as they seem very durable. I even like the storage box! These would be great for a pre-school as well as at home. ~Sara
