Chemistry for the Logic Stage (2nd ed) is expected to take 3 hours per week, in either a 2 Day or 5 Day format. Assignments include experiments, vocabulary, memory work, sketching, timeline, and writing exercises. Spine texts include Usborne Science Encyclopedia,and the Usborne Illustrated Dictionary of Science. The Kingfisher Science Encyclopedia is an optional resource.

Will the 2nd edition student book work with the 1st edition teacher guide?

Yes, you should be able to use a 2nd edition student book with the 1st edition teacher guide. The primary difference between the two editions is the change of one of the primary resources.

Is there a chemistry kit for experiments that you would recommend purchasing to go along with this book?
There is a kit that you can buy from Elemental Science .com that has everything you’d need for all of the experiments. But most of the needed items are household items. There is a list on the above mentioned website so that you can see.
