The Student Book is consumable and contains some instruction and background information directed to the student as well as generous space to write assignments. The book also contains Enrichment Activities.
An e-book version of the Student Book is now available. All content from the hardcopy book is available as pdf files for download. In 1-2 business days after order is processed, the customer will be sent an email with information on how to access the files, and will then have 14 days to download the material. Once downloaded, they never expire from the customer's computer and can be read and printed from any device. (Access will come from the following email address: orders@commonsensepress.com.)

The three full-length books studied in this level include: Star of Light, The Mysterious Benedict Society, and Much Ado About Nothing. You can purchase these novels as part of the Complete Package with the Teacher and Student books, buy them separately, or source them from a local library.
Changes to the 3rd edition include: The Mysterious Benedict Society has replaced Adam and His Kin book study; several lessons have been replaced and reading comprehension and writing activities have been added to many lessons.

Our family has used LLATL for most of our homeschooling years. I prefer the e-book as I can print it out for each child as they reach that grade level. Great option for large families.
