Now in its third edition, this revised Bible series has a fresh look with updated graphics, songs, terminology, and technology. Each grade level builds on the foundational truths students have learned in previous grades. The comprehensive Teacher Guide is designed for a classroom setting (but can easily be adapted for homeschool use) with detailed instructions, review, memory verses, activities, and answers to the student workbook. Grade-level URL's found in the teacher guide contain the digital and blackline masters, chapel programs, PowerPoints, and visual aids in PDF format. A large Timeline (creation to the early church) for wall display also comes with the teacher guide. The Student Workbook contains four consumable perforated work pages per lesson with colorful and realistic illustrations throughout. These workbooks are fairly self-explanatory and could be done as a stand-alone, but you would not have the answers and the "extras" found in the teacher guide. Thirty-four lessons are designed to be done four or five days a week with a specific lesson focus each day. Various translations of the Bible may be used throughout the series.
The goal of the program is for students to develop a Christian worldview through both the knowledge and application of Scripture. In the teacher guide, each week begins with a memory verse and memory work suggestions. Then the introduction section contains a variety of ideas to help students fully engage in learning the concepts presented. Next, step-by-step instructions are given for the lesson. There is an emphasis on God's attributes, Biblical characters, the early Church, and what it means to know Jesus Christ and live for Him. After the lesson, students are directed to complete their workbook pages which include scripture references and application exercises. Follow up review questions in the teacher guide focus on comprehension of concepts from the lesson. Application and reinforcement exercises provide an opportunity to apply concepts learned to daily life. The younger grades (preschool and first grade) include a worship time as well as a listening and activity time followed by workbook pages. Directions to use the timeline also appear in various lessons in the teacher guide. Instructions are included on when to use the supplemental materials and tests that are available as a download. By presenting detailed scripture and the teaching of Bible truths (not Bible stories), this thorough program teaches students that God's Word is true and is the best source for guidance and direction in life.
Students study the basic doctrines of the Church, specifically the Trinity, salvation, sin nature, and eternity in this Bible curriculum. The comprehensive teacher edition includes detailed instruction, reduced student pages with answers, a timeline, and other supplemental material (through a URL link provided). A non-refundable teacher ebook can be purchased instead of a print copy. The student edition includes activities for each week-long lesson.
