A great way to teach young students the concept of time, the importance of scheduling, time management, and a bit about fractions. Each of the plastic tiles are sized according to how much time they take. For instance, two 10-minute tiles, one 30-minute tile, and two 5-minute tiles can fit in the same amount of space as one 60-minute tile. The front sides of the tiles show the number of minutes, while the back of the tile shows the fraction of hour used. A 5-minute tile has 1/12 of an hour, while a 30-minute tile has 1/2 of an hour. These time tiles fit perfectly into the Time Tile Mats. The mats are dry-erase marker friendly, and each include a 12-hour period with the hours broken into 12 (5 minute)) sections.
