Periodic Table (Usborne Lift the Flap)
Introduce even young ones to the elements of the Periodic Table with this fun Usborne Lift-the-Flap book. Children will learn what the Periodic Table is as they lift flaps to meet the characters and the elements they represent. As you read through the table, color-coded pages represent different types of elements – blue for the elements that fizz and bang, gray for the hard, shiny metals, purple and pink for the soft, dull metals, and green for the elements of life. The color orange represents solids, liquids, gases; while yellow is used for the hidden elements, and radioactive elements are identified by the color aqua. This is a board book, so pages are sturdy enough for repeated use. Explanations are simple and age-appropriate, but children will enjoy the illustrations even if they don't understand all the reading. A fun way to learn the periodic table of elements!
My children have enjoyed reading Usborne books so this looked like a good way to introduce the periodic table.
Usborne always has books for early/accelerated learners. Purchased this for my 7 year old who is interested in molecules and elements. Thank you, Rainbow Resource, for having these books in stock.
