Description

Welcome to a real science trivia game! Gone are questions like "who created the Theory of Evolution" or "what are the components of molecules called." In this hardcore trivia game, 220 cards in a range of topics such as food & drink, game theory, astronomy, and famous scientists grace this box. Each turn, players select a face-down card with progressively more difficult questions related to a specific topic. For example, the card "Newton" begins with "what branch of mathematics are both Sir Isaac Newton, and his nemesis Gottfried Leibniz, credited with creating independently of one another?" Whether you answer that correctly or not (Calculus!), the next question is: "in the time of Newton, what was a scientist called?" (Natural Philosopher). And finally, "Newton was the second scientist to be knighted; who was the first?" (Sir Francis Bacon). Each correct answer scores a point! The cards are roughly the same difficulty, but to make it fair for anyone with more specific knowledge, teams take turns selecting cards; when there are none left, the team with the most points wins! For 2+ players. 15-60-minute playtime.
