Worksheets are designed for classroom teachers and homeschool parents who want to be actively involved with the learning process. It enables the teacher or parent to have a flexible schedule and to use their own teaching methods, yet also have written activities to help the student master the concepts in the textbook. The material is bound into two workbooks"Worksheets 1 and Worksheets 2, each covering half the textbook. The separate pack of quizzes and tests covers the entire textbook.

A two-sided worksheet is assigned for each section in the textbook. The worksheets include a variety of exercises with a strong emphasis on map work. There is one quiz per chapter and one test per unit, with a total of twenty-three quizzes and ten tests. It is expected that the teacher or parent will do oral review of the key concepts with the students on a regular basis to prepare them for the quizzes and tests. Unit review sheets, which can be used to help the student prepare for the test, are included in the quiz and test pack.

Resource CD has over a hundred pages of optional material: activity sheets, stories, trivia pages, craft projects and cultural food recipes. The activities vary in the amount of teacher help required, but students can do many of them alone.
