A multi-faceted collection of daily, black and white worksheets designed to meet state and national geography standards. The focus is not only on map skills but also the study of cultures (how people interact with the physical world) as well as making applications to one's own geographical circumstances. Covering five themes in geography: location, place, human-environment interaction, movement, and region; these worksheets utilize a weekly pattern. Days 1 and 2 are map skills (reading and creating maps), Days 3 & 4 are spent reading and thinking about those specifics and Day 5 covers "geography and me." From a secular perspective, the series may reference topics or theories based on current theories and belief systems. Answer keys provide for objective questions (usually days 1, 2 & 3) and rubrics for evaluating the written responses. Item analysis sheets are also included, helping the teacher identify particular skills with which the student may be struggling. Worksheets are reproducible (for home or classroom) and the rubrics and analysis sheets are part of the included digital resources. Hands off for teacher
his book covers world geography. Only a handful of pages cover the United States specifically. It covers all regions of the world, with an emphasis on interpreting graphs and making deductions from the texts. We are eclectic homeschoolers with a Charlotte Mason flair. This series has a more traditional textbook feel. However, I want my kids to be stretched a learn how to learn in more than one way. I have them do a page a day, which is recommended. It is VERY hands off fit me, which is exactly what I was looking for.

It is a good general overview on topics of Geography. Then the parent can decide if he/she wants to go more in depth with a particular topic on her own, or move on with the next subject presented in the book.

Clear Anti-Christian Bias in Text
I got this book thinking it would be an easy self lead study to learn about reading maps and learning about the counties in the world. I was not prepared for the political garbage added.

Week 12, Day 3 "Christianity is a missionary religion. That means that Christians try to convert others to Christianity....In some cases, people were forced to convert to Christianity"
Compared to the next paragraph:
"Islam is also spread throw conquest and missionary activity. However, the greatest force for the religion new births."

Multiple sections state opinion as fact, not what I imagined when I read the description.
