In the revised edition, the first seven lessons are redone – there are no longer any nursery rhymes. New illustrations representing animals and nonfiction passages have taken the place of the nursery rhymes. Instructions are also simplified and clearer with lesson-by-lesson instruction. This set includes two student workbooks, an instructor's handbook, and a set of 10 erasable colored pencils.

Publisher's Description of Spelling You See Level C: Wild Tales Universal Set (old edition)

This Wild Tales set includes everything you need for continued focus on the Skill Development stage. Includes the Instructor's Handbook (with an Introduction to the philosophy of Spelling You See, Getting Started guide, and Lesson-by-lesson instructions) and the Student Pack (2 Student Workbooks and Erasable colored pencils).

Wild Tales will continue your student's journey through the Skill Development state of spelling. Lessons feature interesting nonfiction passages about different animals. Students will read a passage with the instructor each day. Shared reading helps readers of all abilities become familiar with the passage. Students will also "chunk" the appropriate letter patterns indicated for that day's lesson and will have opportunities for copywork, free writing, and writing from dictation throughout the week.

This edition of Wild Tales features new carefully researched and realistic illustrations. The first seven lessons have changed to informative passages about animals. The Instructor's Handbook includes clear lesson-by-lesson instructions and more detailed information about activities.

We love math u see so much we thought we’d try this. I’m so glad we did! My struggling 4th grader has a speech impediment and dyslexia. Spelling has been a nightmare! This curriculum has helped her so much!

The best I’ve found!
It’s so much more practical than making kids sit there and memorize a whole list of words. It also works on reading, and handwriting at the same time! I call that a win/win!

Great Phonics Awareness, but Fun!
I really love the stories, and how they go over the phonic rules in them.

Spelling worth taking a look.
Finally found a spelling program my son actual wants to do. He enjoys highlighting the sounds/sequence for each day. He does struggle with understanding to look at the words in the rhyme so that on the last day that is what he needs to spell. Really enjoy having an off day where he can draw or write how he chooses.

I really like this method of spelling practice!
We are only 3 weeks in to using Spelling You See but I really love it so far. My daughter enjoys this method so much more than previous spelling practice we’ve done and I think I’m already seeing improvement in her spelling because of the repetition that’s used.

Why did you choose this?

I'm looking for a fun, non-stressful, well-thought out spelling curriculum for my third grader. I watched several videos on this curriculum and I'm excited to try it.

the list format of spelling does not seem to be helping my son retain the spelling words. This is a totally different approach that I think may work for him

It has a gentle approach to spelling which will work for us a lot better than a spelling list program.

Public school family with rising 3rd grader struggling a little with spelling. Looking for a supplement to school spelling curriculum.
