Level 1 (Beginner) starts with an introduction section called the Ten Steps. This provides a time for the student to become familiar with the look and sounds of the language before they begin the actual lessons. In addition to vocabulary, students will learn to use the present tense, preterit, and imperfect verb tenses.

New for 2024 is Breaking the Spanish Barrier 1A Vamos! and 1B En Camino. Completing both levels will place a student in Level 2 (Intermediate). Each course is one full year and includes more practice and review than the full Level 1. This is an ideal option for a student in middle or high school who prefers more time with a concept before moving on.

Level 2 (Intermediate) starts with a good review of Level 1 content before moving forward. See the Level 2 description for details.

Level 3 (Advanced) reviews the first two years, adding more advanced grammar concepts. See the Level 3 description for details.
