From beginner artist tracing to advanced drawing animations, this LED lightboard allows the user to place a picture or drawing under a blank piece of paper so that the image can be traced or used as a reference. The work area is 11.5" x 8.6" and is lined with metric measurements (in centimeters) along two edges. To operate the lightboard, simply plug one end of the included USB cord into the board, and the other end into a computer or USB wall adapter. To turn the light board on, tap the power button. To adjust the brightness of the board, hold the power button down.
When I first started sketching as a kid, I tried following the directions in a step-by-step drawing book. As a second grader, the drawing instructions were still a bit hard to follow, so I would just trace the drawing to get the mechanics down. It did not take long after that to start doing the sketches on my own without having to trace. Having a tool like this would have been so helpful during that tracing stage. If the artist is past the tracing stage, it is helpful to see the lines from the previous slide when drawing a flip-book-typed animation. This can also be helpful if the user is trying to get items from several different pictures into one drawing. The entire board is approximately 13" x 9.25". The USB cord is 6' long. Wall adapter not included. ~ Brianna
