Little House in the Big Woods Printed
Once upon a time - about 140 years ago - a little girl lived in the Big Woods of Wisconsin. When she grew up, she told her story, writing herself into the hearts of America for all time. Laura Ingalls Wilder has become a fixture in our history and our heritage. Having been a teacher and a mother, her desire was to teach children about the past so that they would not forget it. Teach your children about America's wonderful pioneering past, with Little House in the Big Woods, by Laura Ingalls Wilder, and our accompanying lapbook and study guide! Book not included.
Creating a lapbook is a fun, hands-on activity for craftystudents. Knowledge Box Central kits include a chapterby chapter study guide and clear instructions for creatingyour lapbook. You can work on it as you go through thebook, or make it as a windup activity after reading the whole story. If you get the CDROM version, you will print all ofthis yourself and can make as many copies as needed. The printed version already has the minibooks and other components printed for you on various colors of paper. You then cut out the parts and create the lapbook (without all thetime and money of printing it on colored paper yourself. This is my favorite option for lapbooks.)
The assembled lapbooks become a go-along withyour reading, rather than an activity to complete, though you can add to it yourself and make itmore personalized.
