Charcoal white sticks have flat edges that can be used for broad strokes, or you can sand them to a point for fine detailing. Compressed charcoal can also be blended with a soft point like a paper stub. Erase with an extra soft vinyl or rubber eraser. Made by General Pencil in the U.S.A. Each stick is about 2.75" long and .25" square. Please note that these are typically broken into smaller pieces for use, so no need to fret if occasional breakage occurs within the packaging. ~ Sara
