Barbarians threaten to attack the ports of Catan, and a third die determines the movement of the barbarian ship. Add city walls and knights for defense, then improve the trade, politics and science of your cities. Three new commodities are produced in the cities to make it into a metropolis. Progress cards replace development cards; these may be played on the turn drawn and multiple cards may be played on one turn. Keep the barbarians from raiding your cities on the way to 13 victory points, and you are Lord of All Catan. 4 variants include an Easy Start version and one for Seafarers.
