Biology of Behavior: Targeted Nutritional Program

The statistics are frightening: 5.4 million children in the U.S. have been diagnosed with ADD/ADHD according to the CDC and diagnosed cases are increasing at an alarming rate – nearly 6% per year. This is not, however, the only issue plaguing our children today. Many of them also battle focusing issues which may be overlooked in light of their overwhelming attention problems or behavior issues. The 2 ½ hour audio presentation provides parents and teachers/caregivers the foundation they need to understand Mrs. Craft's recommendations for how best to help struggling learners. Presenting an incremental, eight-week nutritional supplement plan along with rationales, common signs of deficiencies and additional recommended resources, Mrs. Craft shares that many children are able to reduce prescribed psychotropic meds as the body heals. In cases where children have not begun prescription therapy to treat their focus/attention/behavior issues, you may find the natural therapies presented to be effective in reducing the troubling symptoms. The information presented here is not designed to replace your primary care physician, and she recommends that you work alongside your child's physician to institute any changes in diet, supplements, or prescriptions. The Audio CD set includes an updated 2019 Instructional Booklet which is a handy reference to the supplements as well as additional resources.

The DVD, Kids and Teenagers with Focus/Attention Issues, takes a fascinating look at how our diet and antibiotic use may appear as symptoms of sensory dysfunction and focus/attention issues. She also explores the big question– "Is it character or chemistry?" and provides simple checklists of behavioral and physical characteristics. Dietary changes and nutritional supplementation recommendations are included. This material was originally part of the Struggling Learner Seminar DVD series. While there is some overlap of content, the reinforcement and revised recommendations work together well to equip parents and teachers for successful implementation. ~ Deanne
