Social Studies 7th Grade Set
The Roman Empire including its geographic borders, social woes, religion and philosophy, crisis in Roman leadership and military, and eastern orthodox civilization and church/state relations are studied. Discoveries that changed China and Japan are studied as well as Mexico, Central America, and the rise of the Mayan Empire. Students are also introduced to Christian missionaries, Catholic and Protestant European regions, and the roots of the Science revolution including Jewish, Christian and Muslim Science. The Enlightenment period and Magna Carta are introduced. Maps, timelines and bibliographies are incorporated into reports enabling students to outline and evaluate what they have learned.

They study Christian Missionaries, Catholic and Protestant European Regions, and Jewish, Christian, and Muslim Science. Students create maps and write bibliographies and time lines to incorporate into reports outlining and evaluating what they learn.
Starline Press is a character-based, state standards aligned, individualized and independent learning curriculum. Social Studies programs cover grade specific social studies topics including history, geography, citizenship, government and economics. Aligned to California state standards, each grade level provides self-directed instruction with minimal teacher supervision. Grades 3-8 complete twelve units (booklets) per year, with a suggested 3 week completion time frame. Grades 9-12 complete 5 booklets per semester or 10 per year. Consumable booklets are colorfully illustrated soft cover, although newer printings are more like booklets and do not have the perfect binding and glossy covers. Each grade level incorporates vocabulary lists, fill in the blank questions, chapter reviews, and unit tests, and writing assignments including reports and term papers.
