Description

Mushroom Village has a network called Tubular where animals send pictures and notes to each other.  Penelope the Peacock sends the most pictures and notes of anyone. When Bongo and Asher come to play in the famous Smack-A-Ball game, Penelope didn’t like it. She spouted out lies through Tubular about them cheating and making fun of the other team. When the town finds out the truth, they realize they need to be more discerning when they look at news and pictures. At the end of the story, families can enjoy fun activities, discussion with scripture, and notes from the author to further explore the topic. Also included are a poster map of Freedom Island and stickers to place on the map. 48 pgs, pb. ~ Gina

Category Description for Brave Books

Have you been searching for children’s books that are wholesome, build strong character, and instill biblical values? BRAVE Books has taken on the challenge and created beautifully illustrated books with strong moral content for families to enjoy. Different authors like Kirk Cameron, Missy Robertson, General Michael Flynn, and many others have written books about the fruits of the spirit, the importance of family and unconditional love, the importance of freedom of speech and the Constitution, leadership, perseverance, and so many more valuable topics.

Brave Books consist of sequential book series called “sagas” where each book builds on the previous one. However, you don’t need to read them in order to enjoy the content or understand the moral message. Each saga includes ten books and follows a different storyline. The first of the series, Saga One: The Origins, is about the founding of Freedom Island and how certain courageous animals become Team BRAVE. In Saga Two: Iron Chaos, Team BRAVE battles Lester the Lemur and his ghastly pirate ship, Iron Chaos. In Saga Three: Tubular, Team BRAVE battles a villain named Pompous Penelope when she tampers with Freedom Island’s new messaging system, Tubular. And finally, in Saga Four: Dom-A-Tron, Team BRAVE is scattered across the island of Dom-A-Tron. As they try to find each other, they need to watch out for Black Heart, their adversary.

We sell each book individually, although there is a collector’s box set offered for Saga One. We currently do not have all ten books for Saga Four. Each book comes with a flag, a character sticker, and a map of Freedom Island. Kids can place the flag on the map according to where the story takes place. The character sticker goes in a designated group on the map, in either the Legends, Friends, or Villains group.

After the story, there are engaging activities and discussion questions to help further explain the moral of the story. QR codes take you to helpful video tutorials that explain the activities in a way the whole family can enjoy. Scripture is included with the discussion questions. You will also find information about each author and fun messages from the author about the topic of the story.

There is a lot of value in each book. You could even expand on the message or topic with more research or biblical study. These books were created for families as quality children’s books that ignite children’s imaginations and build foundational values. They would also make great birthday or Christmas gifts! ~ Gina
