The PSAT is a standardized
test given primarily to high school juniors to give them a “preliminary” idea
of how well they could do on the SAT. The test is also used to determine which
students are eligible for the National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test
(NMSQT). The PSAT (and the PSAT 8/9, PSAT 10, and SAT) is designed (according
to the College Board) to reflect how prepared you are for college and the
working world.
This book is divided into
five parts:
Practice
Test 1 – This gives you an idea of your
strengths and weaknesses. This is located in the book and also online.
Additional tests 2 and 3 are online; students are encouraged to use these as follow-ups
after completing the instruction.
General
testing strategies that help you know how to
approach the test and will improve your score.

problem-solving instruction explains each problem and
how to logic to the best answer.
Content
chapters help enhance understanding, along with
test-taking tactics for reading, writing, basic and advanced math, grammar, and

for completing this book in 10 sessions. Includes key information and advice
