Publisher's Description of Through Flood and Flame (Abeka)
Mankind will never know how many brave men and women endured persecution for their faith during the stormy days of the Reformation. Some suffered imprisonment, torture, and death; others took up arms against their persecutors; and a few, while attempting to escape to a land where they could worship God freely, met with stirring adventures. This inspiring collection of short biographies by Henry Charles Moore tells the stories of several little-known Protestant heroes who dared to stand for the truth against the tyranny of the Inquisition. 258 pages. Gr. 7–12.
