Growing Up Where Jesus Lived
This reader highlights Scripture Reading (KJV), historical fiction, and informative reading. Students will travel back in time to the days when Jesus was on earth. A 32-page “Treasure Chest” at the back of the reader presents various Scripture (from Old and New Testaments), with comprehension questions—all in landscape format. This is the 8th reader (2h) in Abeka Grade 2 reading program. Students should have mastered the Abeka Phonics Charts 6-13 prior to beginning this reader. Travel back in time to Jesus’ day and imagine what you would wear, eat, play, and learn in Growing up where Jesus Lived. From the dusty streets of Nazareth, to the Temple in Jerusalem, there is much to learn about ancient Israel. This is the eighth book (2h) in the Abeka Reading Program for 2nd grade. This fast-paced program progresses quickly from decoding words phonetically to preparing students for the last reader which is a complete narrative.
