Great for Special Needs Children!
Love, love this book! The best part is that it comes with a CD!!! Our son will sit and follow along with the CD. It really helps him with his auditory processing and reading.

Does this book have stories about witches and or magic? Thank you.

No. Fables feature animals as characters, and they are designed to teach a moral lesson. Most of the fables are short. This isn’t a book you will sit down and read 10 pages of a day. However you use it, you will likely only want to read one fable at a time and give it some time to digest in your child’s mind. In our Charlotte Mason curriculum, we aimed for 9 fables this past school year, but I think our family personally read through closer to 15. You can pick the ones your child might most relate with at her or his particular age.

Is this book considered secular curriculum?

I would consider it secular. There’s morals to the stories but no biblical references.
