Famous Figures of Ancient Times
Narmer, Khufu, Sargon the Great, Hammurabi, Moses, King David, Ashurbanipal, Nebuchadnezzar II, Cyrus the Great, a Greek Hoplite, Aristotle, Alexander the Great, Qin Shi Huangdi, Hannibal (and his elephant), Julius Caesar, Caesar Augustus, Jesus, Constantine, and Augustine.
If you are not a big arts-and-crafts type of teacher, no worries! You can easily add a craft project to your history studies with these consumable workbooks. The artwork is wonderfully done, and the craft is interactive, from designing to assembly to historical play. The books (designed to be disassembled and the figures cut out) are made with heavyweight cardstock. There are two sets of each figure: one in full color, and one with black-and-white line art to be colored in (definitely a colored pencil project). At the front of the book is a pictorial guide to each figure that includes a detailed biographical sketch and a companion reading list (read-aloud as well as independent reading options). There are complete instructions for assembling using small brads or eyelets, with a letter key printed on the back of each piece for easy assembly. A hole punch and fasteners are required for assembly and are NOT included. These time-era paper doll books would make a wonderful addition to a classical history program like Mystery of History, Story of the World, or BiblioPlan.

At first I was upset that the people are not punch out, but after thinking of it, and upgrading my daughters scissors to a more grown up pair, I love it. she's getting cutting experience.
you will also need a hole puncher.
Yes, you will need to buy brads separately. In a pinch we just glued everything but they won’t be moveable then.
No. This is paired with "Story of the World" curriculum and neither are religious. There are a couple of biblical figures but there are also Jewish figures as well as other religions. Both this book and the SOTW cover multiple religions from a historical perspective versus a religious one.
For use while reading homeschool history texts
my daughter enjoys paper dolls. thought this might be a fun way to add to our history program.
