I purchased Language Lessons for Little Ones 2 to use with my 4-year-old daughter this coming year I'd read rave reviews and expected to love this book but could not get beyond the second page While I appreciate the author's intent the text is poorly written at best and does not follow standard American rules of grammar and punctuation The writer consistently puts periods and commas outside quotation marks substitutes hyphens for dashes and uses quotation marks rather than italics or underlining to set off the titles of paintings Commas are used without rhyme or reason and there are numerous spacing errors in the text (sentences with no spaces between or with too many spaces between) Yes these are "minor" errors But this is after all supposed to be a book of language lessons Using standard American punctuation (since the book is published in the US) and basic proofreading would have made this work far more credible

Why did you choose this?

Love this line of language lessons for elementary age! Truly gentle Charlotte Mason.

I have used this series with 3 other children. It is a nice light entry into LA.

Have used these for my dyslexic son, great pace, no twaddle and variety of learning. Love the color picture study pages. Using for my second son next.

This is my first time ordering a Charlotte Mason style Language Lessons book. I choose this because it looks very gentle and incorporates picture study, narration, copywork and phonics.

How many lessons in each book?

180 lessons per book, one for each day of school. Highly recommend Queen Language Lessons! Graduated three already using these language books!
