Provides practice for students who can add numbers up to 200 and are familiar with coins and their value. It introduces dollars and practices counting monetary values over $1. Students count the dollars and cents for each problem and write the total in the blank.
Publisher's Description of My Book of Money: Dollars & Cents
This sequel to My First Book of Money helps children make the difficult transition between cents and dollars. By first reviewing the names and values of coins, and then slowly beginning to practice dollars and the dollar-based structure, this workbook will make a challenging mathematical concept seem easy.
Much like other Kumon workbooks designed for young children, these include 80 pages of colorful and inventive activities. The series utilizes incremental mastery, so activities get progressively more challenging throughout each book, and from one book to the next. Children will love the cute, rounded illustrations and the stylish layout as well.
As always, this Kumon book does not fail to please. It is a SECOND book in dollars and cents training, so goes beyond the first book. I really like how it helps the parent see how much your child understands. I just wish I had known it was #2 of a series. While my child does count to 200, this book starts assuming the child has already done the first book. We didn't. We ARE working it out; but I think having the first book first would have worked better. Kumon does have great workbooks to suppliment your math program or to learn one particular subject.

Extra practice
I have used horizons math and Singapore math. Not enough practice counting coins in either. This was a must for all 3 kids.
