BiblioPlan: Medieval, Renaissance & Reformation Timeline & Timeline Figures
BiblioPlan Timelines & Figures are well-crafted supplements with one distinct advantage over many other timelines - they're in color! The spiral-bound books can be used "as is" or the pages removed and the timeline mounted on a wall or the pages three-hole punched and the timeline placed into a binder which would allow your student to create an entire timeline in one place. Lots of flexibility here. The timeline consists of one or more colored strips (color varies with the time period) plus dated notes on particular events. The student cuts out the graphics and pictures (located in the back of the book) and inserts them in the appropriate place.
The Medieval, Renaissance and Reformation Timeline includes two timelines one for church history and one for "regular" history. The timeline is set-up as facing page timelines. Medieval on one side and Church History on the facing page.
BP Timelines are year-long, cut-and-paste project books that help students understand the flow of history. Each Timeline has two sections: a picture section with cutouts for each lesson, and a flowchart section with a space for each cutout. To build them, students simply paste each cutout in its proper space. The work of building them takes students back through their lessons, showing them which figures and events were contemporary with which others from around the world.
Picking up where Volume 1 leaves off, BiblioPlan Medieval does some review and then delves into the fall of the Roman Empire. Year Two follows the previous format. There is one hardcover Remember the Days textbook for grades K-7, and two soft-cover Companion textbooks for grades 8-12. The 6-Units (34 weeks) of study will take your students on a historical journey around the world. Since the scope of study now includes a world view, the geography component has expanded to cover the whole globe.
From the Fall of the Roman Empire to about year 1600, unit studies include Early Christianity and the Rise of Islam, Europe and the Crusades, Asia, Exploration of the New World, the Renaissance and the Reformation, and the Elizabethan Era. Study is twofold: World History and Church History. A big focus is on Britain and France. World History will also study the Vikings, the Magna Carta, the Middle East, medieval India, the Ottoman Empire, art, science, Columbus, and the Tudor family. Within Church History learn about the first Christian martyrs to the first Christian emperor, Constantine. Study how the Church used and abused their power which led to some of the greatest Church schisms in history. You will study Christian creeds, councils, the Crusades, the Inquisition, key individuals, and the Reformation.
The Family Guide will take you step-by-step through text readings from either one of the textbooks. Further literature, audio, videos, maps, and activities are all found in individual spiral-bound books. Material found within each spiral-bound book may be reproduced for family needs. Select exactly what you want to cover with the program for each student (K-12) while studying Medieval History together.

Not really. The timelines are labeled with places for the included pictures. On most sheets there is very little extra space. However, the copyright does allow you to make copies within your family so it might be possible to add pages. another option would be to add pictures to the back of the page (would only work if you were leaving the timeline in a book form.
Good reinforcement, visual and in color
nice to have timeline figures that correspond w/o having to search
Homeschooling
I like the two different timelines without the difficult cards. They can put a picture to the event and understand better.
