In my fifteen years of homeschooling my children I have found Learning Adventures to be the best curriculum out there It is all inclusive except for math and each subject is thoroughly and interestingly taught I am especially impressed with the writing part of the curriculum It starts out simply and builds upon itself By the time your student completes "Westward and Onward " (Book 3 of the series) he/she will be writing high school level term papers The curriculum is intended for grades 4-8 but is easily adaptable for higher or lower grades We kept using it through Grade 10 by just adding a high school science text My son tested very high on his ACT in the 9th grade while using only Learning Adventures and a high school math text Our family has so many wonderful memories of all the hands-on activities wonderful books we've read the Bible Scriptures memorized and all the yummy recipes we have tried in the past four years while using this curriculum (Many of the recipes are now in our recipe box to use over and over again)

We've completed the first 2 years and are looking forward to year 3

We love these unit studies. They are deep and include everything but math for 4th-8th grades.
