Category Description for KEVA Planks

KEVA planks come in two precision-cut versions: maple or pine. Each "Contraptions" set includes planks, an idea book and 2 bouncy KEVA balls (roughly the weight and shape of ping pong balls) to roll down paths, drop down shafts, and deflect around U-turns that you build.Think movement: marble runs, aqueducts, and roller coasters. The "Structures" sets are intended more for static architectural design - build bridges, monuments, towers and more."Structures" sets include planks and idea books, but no rubber balls. It's all about balance and stability with any set you choose - no glue, no connectors - just a steady hand, patience, and a vivid imagination!

These are great
Yes, they're planks of wood. But goodness, everyone in our house loves building with them. The maple is more expensive than the pine. They're worth it for us, given how much they're being used and I feel that the builds are a bit more stable than the pine.

Wonderfully FUN and educational.
I have a 9 year old, 5 year old and 4 year old, all of them LOVE playing with these Keva blocks every day. The maple cost a bit more then the others, but they are much stronger and better quality, worth the extra price! We will be buying more!

These blocks are more fun than any other building toy we have had!! My children ages 11 10 9 and 7 literally spend hours creating and assembling structures that are simply WOW! I never thought simple little planks could provide so much entertainment learning and problem solvingbut I was wrong! I now use them for science experiments explanations of basic phenomena and challenging the kids to create structures that sometimes seem to defy gravity Great product would (and have!) recommend(ed) to anyone any age

1 Question
Why did you choose this?

We have had the set of 100 planks for a few years now, and my kids enjoy it so much that they wanted more to build larger structures!

My son was highly interested in this for creating different buildings! Read reviews that the maple was worth spending a little extra on! Here's hoping!

we played with these for an hour or more at a local science museum! fun for the whole family!

These are going to be a Christmas gift for our 3 young children this year! We also plan to use them as part of our homeschool curriculum next fall.
