You don't have to worry about losing any pieces here all 25 bars of this deluxe xylophone are mounted inside a carry case! The notes include sharps and flats, and the bars are made of sturdy chrome steel. Two mallets are also provided.
Publisher's Description of 25-Note Angel Glockenspiel
Our deluxe xylophone, also called a glockenspiel, has 25 perfectly tuned and brilliant sounding bars mounted into an attache style case. Starting at the "G", it includes all sharps and flats in the scale. (This is the meaning of Chromatic.) It includes 1 pair of hard plastic mallets.
My wife recently purchased this for our 7yo dd Her older brother has a lap harp so we wanted a 'real' instrument for her as well This glockenspiel was so inexpensive that I was worried about the quality but I have been PLEASANTLY surprised The tone of these bells is clear and sweet Even when the toddler bangs on this it is not an annoying or ear-splitting experience! You can remove individual bars also and rearrange the bars if you wish So you could make a pentatonic-only instrument or arrange bars in a tune for the child to play in a row (if that makes sense to you!) Be aware that the included mallets won't last forever You may want to purchase a couple inexpensive hardwood mallets for when they bite the dust All around an unbeatable value for a professional-grade instrument Highly recommended!

It is a glockenspiel that has the accidentals that many toy xylophones dont have. It has a decent range of notes, especially for its price

Do any songs come with it and if not what should I purchase so my child can play some songs?
No songs came with our glockenspiel, but all the bars are labeled with the note names (ex. A, B, F#, and so on). I'd look for beginner tunes with note names, but the child needs to be a bit older, 8 and up, I'd guess, to follow music in that format. See if this is of any help www(dot)choose-piano-lessons(dot)com/kids-songs(dot)html. Ignore the word "piano," the notes are the same on both instruments, but you may need to help if he/she struggles to decide between a high and a low C, for example.

What color is it? The picture shows a gorgeous blue color, but when i add it to my cart, it appears as a yellow with red that i'm not a fan of.
The cart graphic must be outdated. We are currently stocking the blue ones like on the web listing.
