Copper Lodge Library New World Echoes
New World Echoes is an anthology reader that includes poems, stories, folktales, and biographies from the respective time periods. Reading selections are separated into weeks that correspond to the Classical Conversations scope and sequence. Stories include illustrations (both color and black/white). An introductory section gives information on asking questions, narration and working with NAMES; a mnemonic device for profiting from literature that stands for Naming, Attending, Memorizing, Expressing, and Storytelling.
Are you ready to explore the challenges and beauty of some once-uncharted territories? Are you ready to cultivate a family culture of reading aloud?
The Echoes series is back, this time filled with poems, tall tales, and legends that pair perfectly with Classical Conversations Cycle 3. Your littles will love the rhymes and larger-than-life stories; your middles will love the adventures and humor; your bigs will love the new and deep questions under the surface of the stories. You will love it all, and gladly give in to requests to reread!
These stories were compiled and edited by Jennifer Courtney, a homeschool mom for over 15 years who graduated with a degree in English and loves reading aloud with her own children.
