Why did you choose this?

I wanted to continue my child's exposure to United States History that they started last year, as grade levels 5 and 6 are really set to complete the total exposure to the founding history, to modern day.

Since last year I wanted to try it, but I decided that this year I need it to buy a social studies' book in color. I haven't seen some much reviews on it, but I went to the content and it added…

Why does the 6th grade book start at page 300? It starts with Civil War. Where is the previous book to this one?

The Grade 5 and Grade 6 courses of this series cover all of American history. However, they are divided because state requirements for these grade levels differ. Some cover American history all in one year and will use both courses in one year. Then, on the alternate year, they cover state history. Other states divide American history up and cover one half each year. This publisher tries to provide the courses so they can be used in accordance with various states' requirements.

is this the 2018 edition?

Not sure but was disappointed that it is really a 5th Grade book not 6th according to sku and even thoughh it says “ my world “ it is US history not world history.
