Fun for music practice and exploration
These are a fun way to practice music! My kids are in the lets play music program, and these are a great addition to practice with. I plan to convert them to an outdoor xylophone, but haven't done it yet since my kids like whacking them on everything. They are cheaper on rainbow resource then any other place. Get the music book to go along with it!

Fun!
The boomwhackers are a fun instrument for teaching music and percussion. Kids love the colorful tubes and think it is fun to hit on the ground. The tubes are sturdy. The sound of the tubes is dull and muted.

We used Boomwhackers in our local homeschool Enrichment Day The children would gather for music class and they LOVED to play the Boomwhackers They are great instruments for a group because you can have the very youngest children learn by color or by rote and the older children actually learning the notes and playing by music That way everyone wins! We had about three sets and divided them up among a large group of children (everyone had 2-3 to play at a time) We borrowed these and used them at home and they are really great family learning fun These are very durable and easy to clean and store You can "free play" with them or you can use music and play songs You can play more than one at a time for harmony or pick up alternating ones for melody pieces These are great for kinesthetic learners because of the large hands-on feel and they would be a great accessory for beginning piano students who are having trouble "sitting still" I recommend this as a toy or a highly enjoyable musical instrument!
