A big, beautifully detailed book about the human body! With fascinating, close-up photo images and realistic illustrations, you see inside and outside the human form. The sections are color-coded for quick reference and include body basics, body systems, head/neck, chest/back, arms/hands, abdomen/pelvis, legs/feet, and body science. Both male and female reproductive systems are shown as illustrations. This is one of those books where readers can open to any page and learn something new. The pages with medical milestones read like a timeline of terror (in the most interesting way!)
Publisher's Description of Human Body! (Smithsonian)
The ultimate kids' guide to the human body, with computer-generated 3-D imagery that shows them the body as they've never seen it before, from the award-winning publisher of Knowledge Encyclopedia.
This visual encyclopedia includes astonishing, all-new 3-D artworks, offering a fascinating view of every part of the body from the skull to the heart and lungs to the joints and muscles, taking kids from head to toe. Supporting STEM education initiatives, all the body systems and structures are made easy to understand. Both the anatomy--how the body looks---and the physiology--how the body works--are visualized and explained with clear, engaging text, and the astonishing facts and figures revealed will keep young readers hooked on Human Body!
With its bold visual approach, Human Body! is the perfect family reference on this subject.
This book is awesome! The pictures are very large and detailed (but not TOO detailed) and colorful. The text is very educational and you can choose to read just the larger print or delve more deeply into the fine print subtopics. Im using it with a 5th grader for homeschooling the human body, and its saving me many trips to the library! ??
