Description

Sixteen-year-old Anselmo is returning home from school when he is kidnapped by Algerian pirates. He is taken to Algiers, where he is bought by an old Jewish man who sells him to a rich Muslim family as a house servant. Throughout Anselmo's terrifying experience, he never loses his pious confidence in God. Anselmo trusts that He will turn what others mean for evil to good, and he shares this truth and the beauty of the Gospel with his fellow prisoners and everyone he comes in contact with. God does indeed use Anselmo for good; greater good than he could ever imagine. This story teaches how the marks of a true Christian can cross all cultural boundaries. 84 pgs.
