This book is a compilation of the following titles:
Social Skills
Self-Sustainability Skills
Financial Literacy Skills
Building upon daily and practical skills, real world life skills extends the understanding of Social Skills, Self-Sustainability Skills, and Financial Literacy Skills.
Ideal for Students and adults alike, to help one to confidently and successfully interact. Have an open mindset to become more self-reliant and attain personal developments while fostering relationships. Learn strategies to be self-sufficient while living alone and what compromise means when living with others. Gain strategies to negotiate through economics and financial planning including loans, credit cards, taxation, and credit scores. Comprised of reading passages, graphic organizers, real-world activities, crossword, word search and comprehension quiz, our resource continues the study of necessary Life Skills everyone should learn before venturing out on their own. All of our content is reproducible and aligned to your State Standards and are written to Bloom's Taxonomy.
With 2021 skills in mind, students work through topics often difficult to teach: relationships, coping skills, negotiation skills, debt management, organization, accountability, etc. The workbook format makes heavy questions seem very straight forward. Students could also work independently, but the content begs to be discussed with an adult afterwards. These would be helpful for the older, struggling learner to gain confidence in a variety of life situations. Reading level is about grade 6, but much of the content is going to be beyond the middle-school maturity level.
NOTE
TO PARENTS: The High-Interest/Low-Vocabulary
designation makes this series a practical option for special needs adults
learning life skills. Most topics are best used with older high school students
as they deal with more “adult” topics including sex. The coverage is very
minimal, but they do discuss living with a partner (unmarried) on a couple of
pages under Self-Sustainability Skills - Healthy Relationships.
