Make history come ALIVE for your children! Designed to go along with The Story of the World Volume 4: The Modern Age Text, this Activity Book provides a rich assortment of multi-sensory activities to complement and enrich readings from the Text. Together, the Activity Book and Text make a complete, well-rounded one-year history/geography study that kids won’t soon forget!
The book is divided into 2 sections: an easy-to-use teacher’s guide with activities organized chapter by chapter in the front and consumable student pages in the back. After reading the history text, turn to the corresponding chapter of the Activity Book, choosing what best fits the ages, personalities, and learning styles of your children. You might bake Naan bread, memorize the Gettysburg Address, build your own torpedo, practice Kung Fu, write a Mariachi song, do a science experiment to see how oil refining works, and more! Consumable Student Pages are photocopiable within a family or you can purchase another set for convenience. 542 pgs. sc.

There are reproducible activity pages in this book some of which are coloring activities. However, the target age range for this book is higher than some of the others so there are fewer coloring-based activities.
The student pages are reproducible, with nothing printed on the backs. I know someone who dismantled the book and put it in a binder to make it easier, but we were able to put the book in the copier without much problem with edging. The copyright statement allows reproduction for use within a family.
It is binded and for the activity pages which are located in the backof the book are easy tear outs. The pages are not loose. We love the activity books for story of the world. I highly recommend this, my kids have gotten a lot out of the book and activity book.
We've enjoyed the other 3 books in the series and look forward to completing the cycle. I plan to go through it with my younger children.
love the book lists included in the SOTW activity books!
Needed for a learning center class.
We've used this curriculum since Vol. 1.
