Spectrum Math 2024 Grade 5

  Newly designed, these standards-based, colorful workbooks offer grade level instruction to reinforce key math skills. All consumable workbooks follow the same structure. Each chapter begins with some useful guidance. A “Helpful Definition of Terms” are terms students will see within the chapter. There is also a “Skills Checklist” to ensure students are practicing at grade level. “Tools & Tips” provide help to reinforce skills introduced in the chapter. Grades 1 through 8 include a “pretest” that lists skills covered in the chapter and is a starting point for the student to see what they already know and what skills they need to work on. Lessons include straightforward instruction with examples and independent practice. The end of each chapter in Grades 1 through 8 includes a “post-test” to ensure students have grasped concepts. Enrichment problems throughout the book allow students to think critically and use their math skills in a different way. Select pages offer an instructional video accessed through a QR code (for grades 3-6). Videos are also available on the publisher’s website or YouTube channel. After every few chapters, “learning checkpoints” provide review. A final test is at the end of each book. In the back is also a scoring record for post-test, learning checkpoints, and the final test.
