Math with Confidence Fourth Grade Student Workbook A is colorful and abundantly illustrated. Workbook A covers the first semester (8 units), which includes a review of multiplication and division learned in grade 3, place value and large numbers, mental multiplication and division, fractions and mixed numbers, area and perimeter, written multiplication, and angles. Story problems are integrated throughout. Consumable and not reproducible; each student will need his or her own copy.

You’ll use Workbook Part A for Units 1-8, and Workbook Part B for Units 9-16. Together with the Instructor Guide, these books provide a full year of thorough and engaging math instruction.
Students begin with a review of multiplication and division, then learn place value and large numbers, mental multiplication and division, fractions and mixed numbers, area and perimeter, angles, geometry, decimals, time, weight, and capacity, line plots and averages, and more. The Instructor Guide, Workbook A, and Workbook B are required for successful completion of the program. Part A covers Units 1-8 (1st semester), and Part B covers Units 9-16 (2nd semester.) Most activities use household items, yet there are a few recommended manipulatives. An optional manipulative set is available.
