History you’ll love and retain!!
I never enjoyed learning history as a child, especially ancient history. This audio collection has changed my perspective. My kids beg to listen to it every time we are in the car. Great for all ages. It’s easy to listen to and information is easy to retain. Some stories have added embellishments, but they don’t detract much from the true events being taught.

My 7 year old will listen.
My 7 year old son prefers listening to this than listening to me read aloud. We listen to one chapter each school day. The chapters are 5-10 minutes in length. We also use the narration questions in the study guide, my son is really retaining the information! Its short and effective. Its not his favorite thing but not much complaining.

Wonderful history curriculum on audiobook
The Story of the World is a wonderful history curriculum and I love the audio book option. I actually use it in conjunction with Layers of Learning. It gives me a break and the kids can listen to it while they color or do other arts and crafts. We also listen to it in the car on longer drives. They really enjoy it.

Great AudioBook!
Great overview of history and well written for kids! We spend a lot of time driving in the car and having this as an audiobook has been a lifesaver. My kids love listening to it and I feel good knowing we have still done some history even on busy days!

Listening Over and Over
Every time we are in the van, my children practically demand to list to these CDs! They have learned more about history from these CDs than I expected. They are fun to listen to, and I have learned things too! Wonderfully, they aren't annoying to listen to over and over and over and over...

First offare there any busy homeschooling moms out there? This is the product for you I had heard about The Story of the World from other moms and thought it sounded really neat I started out with the print version and soon became overwhelmed with life and found that we were not getting around to it as much as I would have liked even though I loved the idea of it With five little ones in this house it is hard to get around to getting dressed most of the time so when I discovered that they had an audio version of this product I pounced It was the best thing I ever did! Now the kids can listen to a chapter or two while doing the coloring sheets or the maps while I feed the baby or quickly do the dishes They are loving it and I love listening while I get something accomplished at the same time! What a great concept! Then we can all come together afterwards and discuss what we learned do a project or two and I love to supplement by finding videos or snippets on youtube to give them a visual of what they just heard It is great fun! I love learning it too What a treat instead of a chore And what is great too is that all of the names of the people cities and such are properly pronounced on the cd instead of me trying to muddle through the pronunciation I highly recommend this product to busy homeschooling families Listen to it at home or on the run in the car In this format it is something that you can get around to amidst your busy schedule!
