We LOVE this book My daughter received a sewing machine for Christmas last year and while I know how to sew I was very nervous about teaching sewing to my 9 year-old daughter This book has been a life saver! It is very systematic introducing one small concept at a time and giving plenty of time to learn each new thing before moving on It's also very fun and rewarding as she saw progress very early on even without the use of thread or fabric! Sewing fun mazes and dot-to-dots have helped her with her skill and she knows the name of some of the parts that I don't even know! When I teach my other three daughters to sew we will be using this book over and over again! I can't imagine that there is a better "curriculum" available for young beginners! Fun thorough and very easy to use!

We love this book! My 8 year old daughter is just eating it up The mazes and activity pages have her sewing on paper with no thread which eases her mind about mistakes Her beginning skills have been building little by little as she progresses through each new step This is definitely written for kids in a gentle fun and encouraging way but I learned a few things as well! My daughter's confidence has grown and she is looking forward to making the rest of the fun projects in the book My 5 year old can hardly wait until it's her turn Highly recommended for any beginner
