I am not sure what age this is good for
The pictures are great, lots of details and of course it is more indepth than pretty much any other picture bible I have ever seen. However, the Old Testament covers some really tough stuff and I personally don't think those details are good for kids until high school. These stories are complicated even for adults!! So unless you feel very confident in your understanding of the Old Testament and feel you can read these stories and discuss them with your child I suggest getting a simpler version. For me these stories in the Old Testament are going to make kids think of God as a really bad guy unless you can really explain things well to them. I really struggled with this bible with my kids. For me these subjects are better for middle school or high school and by that time you would be done with picture bibles. So that is why I am not sure when this is an appropriate bible to use. I just give this as a caution.

This Bible is perfect as the final step before moving on from the world of children's Bibles This Bible has a vast amount of very detailed stories with realistic illustrations It includes enough detail to spark questions from even 8 and 9 year olds Excellent overview for the older crowd I am using it with my 75 and 95 year olds
