Description

Hurry! The alarm has sounded and the Museum staff locked all doors so that potential thieves cannot escape. One of the artifacts is missing and it is our job to find out whom the thief is! Did the thief escape before the lockdown? Is the thief still in the building? Is there more than one thief? Let’s find out by following the clues. If we place the right bets after finding and examining evidence that we uncover in the museum, we will win the game!

Players start with 16 of the 24 possible suspect tiles included in this game and arrange them in a 4x4 grid. There are some common characteristics such as clothing and accessories, which several of these suspects share. Eight clue cards are to the left and right of the four rows in the grid. Players use investigation tokens to claim clues and suggest possible suspects based on the information they obtain from these clues. As they eliminate suspects in their detective notebooks, a clearer picture emerges that helps them place bets using their tokens. Their investigation tokens are numbered from 1 to 6 and this helps determine how many points they will score if they place bets either on the correct suspect(s) or on the exit tile which assumes the suspect(s) have escaped. Once every player has had six turns to reveal clues and bet on suspects, the game ends. As clues are revealed and suspects eliminated, the player who has the most points bet on the correct suspect tiles or exit tile, wins the game. This is a nice beginning deduction and betting game for 2-4 players with a 20-minute playtime.
